The World Triathlon Cup in Liévin brings elite triathlon into a compact indoor setting, creating a fast-paced event with a completely different atmosphere from a traditional outdoor race. The combination of swimming, cycling and running inside one venue makes it visually intense and gives spectators a close view of the action.
My focus was on capturing both the athletic performance and the overall experience of the event: the speed, concentration, transitions, crowd energy and details that make the competition unique. The result is a varied set of images suited for editorial use, event promotion and future marketing.
